Great book for late teenagers. From her normal age to her age of free flying sex and drug usage, then onto her stage in life of high self concept and being above the influence. While the rest of her family adjusts to the new town, Alice feels like an outcast at school.
Soon she meets Beth, a Jewish ne What do you do when you get mixed with the wrong group of people? United States of America. The part I remember the most is when Alice barely goes back to school after running away. She runs away several times and eventually returns home always intending to straighten out her life. I think that this book is a really moving and touching book.

This books was so amazingly crazy. I would probably rate it a ten for many reasons. At times I wanted to cry, and other times I just wanted to scream. At the end it seemed like she had come to her senses and she was going to go back to normal, but no.
I would recommend this book to any teen who has struggles in life or just finds things like this interesting that would be me. Because this book is about a girl going through and experiencing all of these life-altering cultural shocks, it can easily show the difference in these cultures and the culture that I live in today. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. I think its a must read for all teenagers.

Go Ask Alice totally scared the shit out of me though and I vowed I read this on a weekend church retreat with kids from the youth group I was not a part of or familiar with but forced to join by my parents. It’s not an easy read, and has aliciz me and stayed with me ever since.
Her writing sounded so much like mine did when I was her age. I thought for a couple of moments that I knew where the story was going but it took me on so many twists and turns. Taken from perspective of a girl who starts clean, get’s hooked, then rehabilitates, it shows the different lives of a regular teenaged girl living in the 70’s with a low self esteem and a possible eating disorder.

I was so mad that those kids spiked the drinks, how is a parent to trust their kid to go to any parties when something like this can happen, come on 10 out of 14 of the drinks were spiked? Alice’s dad who is a college professor accepts a job and libto her family plans to move, which makes Alice happy.

Turns out that three weeks after she finished her diary she killed her self. I think her parents tried to do what they thought was right.

Amazon Music Stream millions of songs. This review preuntale also posted on my blog. I am glad that she ended up in that mental hospital, I think that helped her some. She doesn’t have the support and comfort she needs but eventually she finds it. I’m sure that this book had not only moved me but others as well.
